Gadar opened the account with 30 lakhs at the box office on the opening day. At the same time, collected 45 lakhs on the second day and 55 lakhs on the third day. With this, Gadar Ek Prem Katha collected a net collection of 1.30 crores on the opening weekend.

The three-minute clip depicts Tara Singh and Sakeena’s legacy, which takes place during the turbulent ‘Crush India Movement’ of 1971, with Tara Singh traveling all the way to Pakistan to save his son, Charan Jeet Singh (played by Utkrash Sharma), from the Pakistani Army.

According to analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has sold 1,37,894 tickets on its first day.
