Raj and DK discussed their first time working with Netflix and how much fun they’ve had making Guns & Gulaabs. This time, they stuck to what they knew and drew inspiration from the narrative strategies they had employed in their earlier movies (99, Shor in the City). They unwittingly created a pulpy, retro-style genre hybrid along the way. Since Netflix is as eager to share this quirky story with the world as the filmmakers are, they have worked well together, and this project marks the beginning of a wonderful collaboration that they believe audiences will enjoy.
